As of September 2010 Newburgh Free Academy opened its door as a grades 9-12 high school and welcomed approximately 3,600 students in grades 9-12 within two campuses. To best meet the needs and interests of our students NFA runs by a house plan. The intent of the house plan is to provide students with the comforts of a small school learning environment and still have the benefits of what a large comprehensive high school can provide.

Students: It is a pleasure to welcome you to the 20l2-2013 school year at Newburgh Free Academy. Our goal at NFA is to provide all students with the highest quality comprehensive education in a safe and pleasant environment. Whether you are a sophomore, junior or senior familiar with NFA or a new student walking our halls for the first time as a freshman, we are certain you will find this school year exciting, challenging, and rewarding. As you begin the school year, remember to set your goals high, maintain your path, and never give up. High School will only be done once so make it memorable and set your path for your future endeavors.

Also, keep in mind what NFA can offer you. We encourage you to become an actively involved student both in your academics and extracurricular activities. Take advantage of the numerous clubs, activities, and sports teams offered here. Be sure to watch GBTV in your homeroom to see announcements regarding dates and times of all club activities and sports meetings.
