Do you need help in deciding what to do after high school?  The military uses a test called the ASVAB to decide how to place someone, but you can take the same test to help you choose a civilian career.  The ASVAB will be given at NFA on Wednesday, February 17th from 11:30 – 2:30.  It is a series of 8 short tests providing scores in vocational areas like electronics, mechanics and automotive repair.  Once the test is scored, you will have the opportunity to fill out a questionnaire about the types of work that interests you.  Together the ASVAB and questionnaire will help you make choices right for your interests and abilities.  Sign up in your guidance office.

Attention sophomores and juniors:  If you took the PSAT on October 13th, 2015, your score reports and test booklet are available for you to pick up in your school counselor’s office.

Local scholarship advertisements will begin today!  These local scholarships are open to NFA SENIORS ONLY.  A list of the scholarship opportunities available will be posted in the NFA Main & North Guidance Office.

Attention students:  This year, we will be holding scholarship workshops starting February 8th.  These workshops will be held every Monday and Wednesday periods 3 – 7.  The purpose of the workshop is for students to be able to view all of the scholarships available and complete the applications in the Guidance Career Center.

Juniors, see your school counselor NOW to plan for life after NFA.  It is time to take the next steps toward college and career!  Are you “Good to Go?”  Your school counselor has the answer.

Attention Spanish teachers and students – The members of the Spanish Honor Society will be offering tutoring sessions on February 4th and 18th in room 285, Main at 2:15.  All are welcome to attend.

No bus passes will be issued by Mr. Cruz after 12 PM
